Liz, Kristy and Ben go on a boisterous road trip through the Australian outback. The first highlight is the meteorite crater Wolf Creek. There, in the middle of nowhere, their car dies. Luckily, the old hunter Mick Taylor shows up at night and offers his help - he drags it to his remote farm. But the friendly helper in need soon turns out to be a sadistic monster with a penchant for torture. While Taylor sharpens the knife, the fight for bare survival begins for the young tourists ...

Director Greg McLean on UHD: It's a pleasure to see such a sharp, clear and colorful copy of the film. Much of the film's atmosphere and tension comes from the detailed and eerie light and shadow effects captured by our cinematographer and the stunning, unique colours of the Australian outback. All of this comes into its own in this excellent presentation.
