Frequently Asked Questions
Atomic Movie Store is an online business based in Lawrence, Kansas.
Do you have a brick-and-mortar location?
This online store is currently home based and due to this we do not offer product pickup or walk in customers.
Why does my billing and receipt show Blu Dealer LLC?
My company was formed as Blu Dealer LLC in the state of Kansas.
What type of packages are used for shipping? All home video products are shipped in a cardboard box with bubble wrap and/or in a bubble pouch.
Can I order both in stock and preorders in the same order?
Yes. But, it will delay the shipment of your order until all the items in your order are available to ship together. All items in an order ship together. If you wish to have items shipped as they arrive, please place separate orders.
When will my package ship if I have no preorder items in my order?
Due to increased store traffic, my shipment times will be changing to maintain packing quality. Orders placed by 2PM CST Monday - Friday will be shipped out within 1 business day. I will attempt to get that order out the same day but due to the number of orders and preorders I am fulfilling that is not always possible. Due to light postal staffing on Saturday morning my shipments have to be in early Saturday before the post office close for business. I will try my best to get orders out on Saturday if orders are placed by 2:00PM CST Friday. Any orders placed after 2:00PM CST Friday might not go out until the next post office business day, which would be Monday. This is providing Monday is not a postal Holiday. The post office is closed on Sunday and holidays. I will be packing those days, shipping labels might be created, but no actual shipments will be taking to the post office or picked up by the post office.
When will my items ship if I add preorders to items already in stock or with other preorder items?
Please note that all items in an order ship together. Mixing in stock items with preorders and/or preorders with different release dates will delay the shipping of your order. Your order will not ship until all the items in the order are available to ship together. Our ordering system is no longer able to ship single or groups of items from an order. And please note that video labels do occasionally shift release dates of products due to production issues which could further delay the shipping of your order. If you are wanting to receive products as close to street date as possible, we recommended that you place separate orders for items. We offer a variety of USPS services for shipping.
Do I pay taxes on my transaction?
Kansas law requires sales tax to be collected on all orders shipping within our home state.
As a remote seller, our store has now reached economic nexus with the state of Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, Ohio, and Virginia. We are now required to collect sales tax for orders shipping to addresses in the states of Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, Ohio, and Virginia.
Why should I buy from Atomic Movie Store?
As a small business owner I provide you with a personalized service. I not only order the stock, update the website, but I also pack your orders. And as a collector myself, I want to do my best to ensure that you get your products undamaged. Which is why I use bubble wrap, bubble pouches, and cardboard boxes.

What home video player do I need to playback North America region A or all region, or region free discs?
4K UHD (Ultra HD) requires a 4K UHD player.
Blu-ray requires a Blu-ray player or a 4K UHD player.
What home video player do I need to playback North America Region 1, all region, or region free DVD?
DVD requires a DVD player, Blu-ray player, or 4K UHD player.
What is region coding?
Regional coding was created to prevent the playback of the disc in a geographical area other than the one in which it was released. Home video players purchased in North American stores playback discs labeled Region 1, Region A, all region, or region free discs. This is dependent on the type of player you own (4K UHD, Blu-ray, or DVD). The region code of your player is located on the back panel or in the instruction manual with the player.
How can I watch a home video product from another country?
Currently 4K Ultra HD remains a region free format. However, most Blu-ray and DVD home video products remain region locked. There are players available that will give you access to home video products from alternate regions. A search of the internet for region free players will link you to numerous sellers.
There are occasions that a foreign video label will release a 4K Ultra HD release with regional coding. However, this is not the standard created for the 4K UHD format. This will be notated with the release, in the description, when we are provided with this information.

Is there a chance that I am buying a pirated or bootlegged movie?
Absolutely not. I purchase directly from video labels or through licensed wholesalers and vendors.
Will my purchase include a slipcover?
All titles with a slipcover or slipcase will be notated with the product’s listing. If it doesn’t list a slipcase. It will not have one or we are still awaiting to receive stock to verify the item does have a Slipcover. And typically, slipcases are only during the first printing of a title. Product listings will be updated to reflect merchandise changes, such as slipcovers.
I received a disc that wasn’t shrink wrapped
If you purchased a disc as NEW, it will typically be sealed. However, not every label in the country and the world shrink wraps their discs. I will do my best to notate the product in its description to notify consumers if the product package is not sealed by the video label.
Why can’t I cancel my order through my account? And am I able to cancel all orders?
Order cancelling is currently not offered through the account portal. If you must cancel an item, please email me at owner@atomicmoviestore.com. We reserve the right to deduct or charge an order cancellation fee from your original form of payment to recover transaction fees. This fee can be up to, but no greater than 4% of the original transaction total. There are also some special order and/or preorder items which we will not be able to cancel. Those will be noted with the individual product.
Do you charge now or when the items ship?
You will be charged once you checkout. So, please do NOT purchase or preorder an item unless you are sure that you want the item.
