The Blair Witch Project (1999)
On October 21, 1994, Heather Donahue, Joshua Leonard and Michael Williams hiked into Maryland's Black Hills Forest to shoot a documentary film on the local legend, the Blair Witch. They were never heard from again. One year later, their footage was found, documenting the students' five-day journey through the Black Hills Forest and capturing the terrifying events that led to their disappearance.

Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2 (2000)
To cash in on all of the "real world" hype of the events in the first film, a man from Burkitsville, Maryland opens a "Blair Witch Hunt" tour, which shows patrons various locations from the original film. Four young college students decide to take the tour, which descends into a nightmare realm of murder, madness, and perception-bending supernatural horror.
