Two years have passed since top journalist John Klein lost his wife Mary after a tragic accident. He is still haunted by the memory of the eerie drawings of a macabre creature with piercing red eyes and moth wings that Mary made on her deathbed. On his way to a job, he ends up in the remote small town of Point Pleasant. There he learns of a sinister apparition with enormous wings. It is as if the Mothman wants to speak directly to him. But what does the messenger of death want to tell him?
