Following a shipwreck, Captain Red (Walter Matthau) and his Frog hub find themselves on a raft in the middle of the sea. Now reduced without food and on the verge of despair, they manage to clandestinely climb a Spanish galleon. Once aboard, however, the two pirates are discovered and arrested, but Captain Red is unwilling to give up. On the ship, in fact, there is a wonderful golden Aztec throne that he wants to seize himself. Red manages to make the crew mutinate and take over the galleon. The two pirates, after various fighting and cheating, are again forced to flee on a raft, at the mercy of the waves and in the hope of more fortunate adventures.
